If I could, I would have killed you with my bear hands coronavirus, cremate you and dispose your ashes so that you never have to see the cells of blood again, so that you never have to chock any lungs again.

Your partner in crime Covid -19

You have been an empty metal tin carrying nothing but tetanus.

You have had us blocked sinuses.

I was only 16 going on 17 when news had it that I had to quarantine. No school, no cinemas, no travel, no business, only indoors, cooking outside, hoping good news comes our way. I drank it all, from herbal to green tea.

I tried cooking and baking. I told myself I’m a writer in the making, I lost my self in pen and paper, praying for things to get better.

I watched cases and numbers skyrocketing. I couldn’t watch the sunset from Windhoek. All I had was my eyes on the window for the sunset on the West.

Humility is one of the things, the one seed that sprouted out of this pandemic. The world is humbled to realize we humanity are a symbol of a split second.

Together we can make minutes and hours and days and years. Divided, we wither away, and no more to be seen or heard.

We have faith in God that it will get better. Afya bora tutapata.

So just in case you are feeling over the moon Corona, I want to tell you now that IT IS FINISHED. We will pull through!!
